INTRODUCTION TO OUTDOOR LEADER SKILLS TRAINING
Friday July 8 and Saturday July 9, we are offering 2 one day courses (you may have seen in an earlier post and email the incorrect dates of July 7th and 8th).  However, if you have yet to do an overnighter with your unit you need to plan on camping Friday night at the training location.

CHECK-IN TIME is at 8:00 AM and the Course Starts at 8:30 AM.  Course finishes at 9:00 PM

CAMP RILEA at Checkpoint Charlie, get directions at gate.

FEES:  There will be a $5.00 fee for the course.  It is $7.00 if you are camping.  The fee includes meals and cracker barrel.If you want to train a session, please call Bob at 503-325-4768 or Sam at 503-325-0132

1:30        WOOD TOOLS—KNIFE, CAMP SAW, AND AXE
2:00        FIRE SITE PREPARATION AND BUILDING: 
2:30        PLANT & ANIMAL IDENTIFICATION
3:30        BREAK
3:45        BACKPACK AND HIKING
4:30        START DINNER PRE-PREP:  Staff only
4:45        WORSHIP SERVICES
5:00        CAMPFIRE PLANNING
5:30        DINNER PREP
6:00        DINNER
6:30        DINNER CLEANUP: by Staff
6:45        MAP AND COMPASS
8:00        FLAG RETIREMENT
8:05        START CAMPFIRE:  After formal campfire is over start discussion about lights out, quiet time, and age appropriate bed times including for adults.
