Ft. Clatsop Scouts participate in Tuality District Camporee

Back in May, many Ft. Clatsop District Boy Scout units and several Cub Scout Webelos participated in Tuality Districts annual Camporee.

The theme was Tualitywood, so games and competitions were Hollywood themed.

Scouts participated in games such as “The Titanic” where they made a stretcher and carried an injured fellow scout through a marked course. The also visited the BB range as well as the hawk throw.

Webelos enjoyed participating in The Boatman Challenge. Webelos were tasked with making a “boat” out of all natural materials. Their boat had to fit inside a #10 can and carry a parcel of flour down Beneke Creek without getting the flour wet.

Tradition held true when Seaside’s Troop 642 once again took top honors in the food competition…Served by Assistant Scoutmasters Holly Golightly (Lynn Hoth) and Mrs. Doubtfire (Stan Gandy)
