Hidden Treasures lurk in Scouting Memorabilia

If you think that old Cub Scout neckerchief you wore in the 2nd grade and the patch you got at Philmont back in the 1960’s only have sentimental value, think again. “You’d be amazed at how many people collect old Scouting stuff” said Ed Harris, the veteran Scouter who helped organize CPC’s Memorabilia Auction. “This event lets collectors get something for themselves while giving something back to Scouting.”

The Ed Harris Memorial Trade-O-Ree begins on Friday October 12, 6pm at Golda’s Kitchen (Scouters’ Mountain) and concludes after the Oral Auction on Saturday, October 13. Throughout Friday and Saturday there will be an ongoing silent auction, as well as opportunities to trade patches and other Scouting memorabilia.
