Barlow Road Ride cycling event

Is your Unit interested in completing the Cycling Merit Badge this Summer? Then we have the best local organized 50 mile bike tour ride to complete the merit badge requirements: The Barlow Road Ride from Oregon City to Government Camp, August 23 and 24, 2014. This historically themed ride will follow the Clackamas and Sandy rivers on the original Barlow pioneer road route to Mt. Hood. The ride starts at the End of the Oregon Trail Museum and has a rest stop at the Sandy Museum and ends with a dinner and community festival including a tour of the Mt. Hood Cultural Center and Museum in Government Camp. These museums provide the opportunity for Scouts to learn the history of the Barlow pioneers as well as the high adventure history of the Mt. Hood Wilderness all as part of earning their cycling merit badge. The Barlow Road Ride volunteer leaders will assist your unit with training rides and fulfilling all the merit badge requirements.Click Here for more information: www.barlowroadride.com
