All 4 Portland REI locations will be having a great sale on returned equipment on Saturday, December 29th from 9am-2pm.
At the Program Training Conference we spoke to a scouter who scored a $200 tent for about 78 cents…yes 78 cents.
The advice from PTC…come early for best selection. If you want to get in the store at 9am…come well before 9am. There is usually a large line as only a certain number of people are allowed into the store at one time. Open things and look at them to see why they may have been returned…it could be just a cosmetic scratch, it could need something like a new tent pole.
For locations, check about halfway down on this link http://www.rei.com/stores/portland-clackamas.html
December 15th is the last day for online sales to count toward the Trails End College Fund for 2012.
If you sold over $2,500 in popcorn this year you qualify for the Trails End College Fund. If you sold that much in a previous year and turned in the proper paperwork…any amount that was sold this year counts toward that college fund as well.
In order to have your sales count, please go to http://www.trails-end.com/trailsend/category_page.jsp?id=200004 to download the form. Fill it out and send it…along with copies of your scouts order form(s) to firstname.lastname@example.org
These forms must be submitted by December 31st, so get them in before you get busy with the holidays and council staff starts taking vacation days.
