Youth Protection Training Offered in Seaside Monday, September 28th

Dave Pulaski is offering Youth Protection Training Monday – September 28 – at 7:00 at the Lighthouse Christian Church.  Great opportunity if for some reason you are unable to do it on the computer!
October 1 is the goal to have every registered adult in the District with a 2015 YPT date!
The church is located at 88786 Dellmoor Loop…the corner of the south end of Dellmoor Loop and Hwy 101 north of Gearhart

Youth Protection Training Required Annually

To insure that every leader’s YP training is current, Cascade Pacific Council has joined the other council’s in the Western Region to require annual updates to Youth protection.  If your last training was 2014 or earlier, it will not be accepted for the 2015-2016 charter renewal.  “We must make protecting our youth our highest priority. Our nation is looking to us to set the standard and lead.” -Todd McDonald, Program Director

Mandatory Leader Training Begins in 2015

A resolution of the council executive board has begun a multi-staged process to making position specific training required to be a  registered leader.  In the late fall of 2015, ALL Cub Scout Den Leaders, Tiger Den Leaders, Webelos Den Leaders and Cubmasters will be required to be trained in their position in order to complete their Charter renewal for the 2016 year.
Every youth deserves to have a trained leader and better yet, every leader deserves to be surrounded by leaders who are as informed as them.   Update your myscouting.org profile with your member ID, go to my.Scouting.org and review your training as well.  Unit Committee chairs and Top Leaders can update others training status.  Finally, all training questions and updates can be directed toward to training@cpcbsa.org.
