Peer to Peer Recruitment Cards

Are you planning a spring recruitment activity? The best way to recruit is peer to peer. If you have a good program and your scouts are excited about it, give them a tool to help tell their friends.

Available online are peer to peer recruitment cards. Fill them out with information on you upcoming event. Then give some to each scout so he can pass them along to their friends.

You can find them at the following links…

Friendstorming Event Tomorrow Night – Thursday, May 2nd

Friendstorming Thursday at 6:00 at Columbia Hall
Clatsop Community College Room 219.

***May Roundtable/District Dinner as well as District Committee and Commissioners meetings have been cancelled to make time for this meeting***

Why?  This meeting is so important.  It will, hopefully, produce a LOT of great ideas re: how we can grow the volunteer base in Ft. Clatsop District!  And, by doing that, the program will grow not only in quantity – but in quality!  There is a great tradition of Boy Scouting in Clatsop county and we  want that to continue.
Because of the desire to make it possible for as many of you Ft. Clatsop District Scouters to attend the Friendstorming as possible, and not overwhelm your schedules, the District Committee; Commissioner Meeting; Roundtable and District Dinner have been cancelled for May!
Feel free to “bring a friend” along!
We hope we see you there! If you aren’t familiar with this meeting room – my suggestion – as you travel up 16th – turn left on Lexington – go behind Columbia Hall and you will be able to enter on the same floor we will be meeting in.
Don’t forget — we will have FOOD there too!!

You Are Invited to a Friend-Storming to Help Scouting Grow in Ft. Clatsop District

Mini Grants Available to Boost Troop Membership

Thanks to an anonymous donor, the Cascade Pacific Council is pleased to invite your troop to apply for a mini grant to aid you in your efforts to recruit new youth into your Boy Scout troop. The purpose of the mini grants is to build and sustain strong Scout troops by reaching out to youth not currently involved in Scouting. Our grants are meant to encourage creative thinking beyond a troops “normal” recruitment of Webelos Scouts. A total of $10,000 in mini grants will be provided to local troops that are selected through a competitive process. Grants will range from $100 up to $1,000 each. We plan to give priority to ideas that: • Target non-Scouting youth per the donor’s interest. • Reflect a comprehensive troop-wide approach to engaging parents and youth in recruiting other families into Scouting. • Serve as models that can later be adopted by other troops This RFP is for one-time, short-term (one year maximum) recruitment campaign that is completed between June 1 and October 31, 2013.
